5. My Cultural Radar (Part 2)

 As of today, my cultural snapshot is :

1. Internet Show:

I really like to listen podcasts while I work, I mainly listen "Tomas Va a Morir", "Lucas & Socias" and "Media Semana", both podcasts are made by comedians such as Edo Caroe (in Tomas Va a Morir), and Lucas Espinoza (in Lucas & Socias) and Ignacio Socias (in Lucas & Socias and Media Semana), in both podcasts the current news are reported with humor, that is good to brighten the day and laugh out loudly.

2. TV Show

I don´t have much time to watch series, but one series I watched and liked too much was Ted Lasso (Apple TV+) It's a series about an inexperienced football coach who is going to lead a Premier League soccer team. The series mixes comedy and drama very well.

3. Artist

I usually listen to all kinds of music such as rock, indie, reggaeton, rap, pop, etc. In recent times, i have listened a lot to an argentine urban artist named Trueno, I recommend listening to his Tiny Desk session, he has a very catchy rhythms. My favorite song is Tranky Funky

4. Book

I don´t like to read much, but when I enter to the Architecture carrer, i bought myself a book to familiarize myself with the career and make the habit of reading, the book is called "The Languaje of The Cities" of Deyan Sudjic. It is a book that talks about how cities like Barcelona, London and New York have been successful and what other cities lack to achieve it.

5. Building

If you go to Argentina, I recommend you visit the Ateneo Library, it is an old theater remodeled for the sale of books, is a beautiful place.

6. Place

Being close to the university, it is always a good time to visit the Barrio Lastarria and Bellas Artes, but i recommend visiting them on the weekend, it is a very culturaly diverse pedestrian promenade.

2.- An Interesting Trip

Today i´m going to write about the first travel that i realized to other country. In April of this year i traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with my girlfriend and her family. This trip was my second and third time traveling by plane, the first time was to Antofagasta, in the north of Chile, when i was 10 years old, but i don´t remember much about the travel. The others travels that i have made been by car to the some places of the south like Villarrica, Pucón, Valdivia, and bus to La Serena and Alhué. In this time, the trip was my first experience abroad. My girlfriend planned an itinerary of different places to visit and eat in Buenos Aires. The first day (saturday) we boarded the plane at 7:30 am and arrived in Argentina at 9 am, we realized the check in in the hotel and went to walk in Corrientes Avenue (like the Fito Paez song -11 y 6-). 7. A Job

 In my life, i had 3 different jobs. My first experience was being a Shopper at Jumbo supermarket in La Florida in 2021, in this job I had to pick orders that people made online by an app, this job was funny when I pick the products, but stressful when I packed them in. Another jobs that I had was a leafleter and staff at Multiverse, a entertaiment enterprise that produces geek events. These jobs was a funny experience because the events was retro-pop culture and gaming themed. When i was 14 years old, I started playing guitar and my frustrated dream or job that I would like to do is being a guitarist. I have a acoustic and electric guitar (also a keyboard), and in my free times I practice this instruments, also I'm always listening to music, so always imagine myself playing guitar at concerts.  Some of the qualities that I need to be a good guitarist is a better coordination in fingers and patience to learn about the instrument, also I have to do tenacious in the practice. 8. Language

According to my family, since I was little I started to speak basic English words like colors and numbers, because I watched cartoons in this language, so when I entered kindergarten, I already had a slight knowledge. In my school English was taught from the moment you entered until you left, so I always had a close relationship with the language.  I consider it a complex language, in school I had a hard time with the verb "to be" and its variants, so I think I understand and read it better than I can speak and pronounce it. My girlfriend passed on to me the habit of watching movies and series with subtitles to better understand the language, I have seen long series like The Office in American English and Ted Lasso in British English, when we go to the cinema, we prefer to see the movies in the original language, which a couple of years ago I disliked.
